Wanting to be a children’s book illustrator from the age of 18 I ventured into fine art to build the skills I needed to succeed as an illustrator. Incredibly I didn’t return to my initial infatuation with children’s illustration until recently (over 20 years later). It seems I have not outgrown the urge to illustrate for children, nor to amuse myself creating fun colourful imagery.

I volunteer part-time teaching prep children and this has greatly influenced my decision to finally follow this path in life. Watching the children interact with books is delightful to experience and what better audience for my art than the hearts of children.

My life revolves around my relationship with God, my beautiful husband and children and my need to express the gifts God blessed me with. Through God, my family and my painting, life is truly abundant.
